The Six Predictable Failures of Free Schools….And How To Avoid Them – This pamphlet analyses the learning’s of Seymour Sarason, a US academic who studied two decades of ‘Free School’ reform in America and applies his lessons to the planning of UK Free Schools. Subject of a Guardian leader and a TES front page, the original print run sold-out but this ebook version is now available to download for £1.80.

The Oxford Handbook of Happiness – Based in rigorous academic research on ‘happiness’ and ‘well-being’ this book is far reaching but it does have an excellent and extended education section. My chapter is entitled “Applying happiness research to the teaching and learning process” – not sure that really needs much more explanation!
